Shrinking sewing thread

When exposed to high temperature this special sewing thread shrinks 30% in ((218 yd.)218 yd.)lenght. This comes very handy to sew components on our textile perfboard. Just sew them normally and then put your pressing iron close to the back of the circuit. The thread will shrink and all components will firmly be connected to the textile perfboard. Device pouch

Designed by Troy Nachtigall, our device pouch is a small square pouch with an opening on one side. You can use it to put your devices inside (accelerometers, compass, vibrating motors) and still have a nice look and a very textile feel. You can then sew it to your garment. It also has three conductive stripes, in case you need to sew or solder a few components on it and for connections.   Washable. (Motor not included)

Extremely light and transparent conductive fabric, only 190 g per sq.m.  It allows air flow.

Knitted coated copper tape

Small conductive tape made of coated copper fine wire (112 micron).It is very flexible, easy to cut with scissors, it can be sewn with a standard sewing machine. The surface of this tape has a good insulation thrughout its lenght. It can be easily welded, just solder it as a standard non coated copper wire. The coating will melt and tape will be soldered.

Double face conductive fabric with non conductive polyester on one side and conductive stainless steel on the other side. This fabric in not glued, the double face characteristic is obtained during the knitting process and therefore it is very breathable. Velostat®

Velostat®

Velostat® film is made of opaque, volume-conductive, carbon-impregnated polyolefin. Its electrical characteristics are not affected by age or humidity. The resistance of Velostat decreases when pressured. When sandwiched between two conductive layers, it has a wonderful range for making pressure and bend sensors. It can also be used for position sensing.
